Join us for Chesapeake Green 2012 – our 9th annual Maryland Green Industry Symposium.
Our keynote speaker this year will be Mr. Ed Laflamme, owner of The Harvest Group, presenting “Are You a Fierce Competitor,” as a challenge to attendees to recognize opportunities in business and within themselves to succeed, despite the surrounding pressures of intense competition. This is a “don’t miss” seminar, to keep us all on the right track in the new year.
The rest of Day 1 of the conference is dedicated to instruction across 5 educational tracks, including nursery grower, retailer, landscape contractor, greenhouse grower, and interiorscape. Special note to interiorscapers, pesticide recertification education is available to you on Day 1 of the conference. All other attendees are offered pesticide recertification on Day 2 of the conference.
Pesticide recertification credits have been applied for in the following states: DE, MD, PA, VA, and WV. February 9th, Interiorscape Track participants will receive 8 credits for applicators certified in Category(ies) 3A, 3B, and 10 (Ornamental Plant - Exterior, Ornamental Plant - Interior and Demonstration and Research) and the full recertification requirement of 4 credits for those individuals certified as Private applicators. Participation in the meeting on February 10th will satisfy the full recertification training requirements of 8 credits for applicators certified in Category(ies) 2, 3A, 3B, 3C, 5, 6, and 10 (Forest, Ornamental Plant - Exterior, Ornamental Plant - Interior, Aquatic, Right of Way, Weed and Demonstration and Research) and the full recertification training requirements of 4 credits for those individuals certified as Private applicators.
